Do I need an iPad?
Apple has always come up with cool gadgets. First the iPod, iPhone and now the iPad. Of course, there are so many more other Apple products that I may not have the time to mention here…

iPad is a 9.7 inch touch screen tablet computer, a cross between a smartphone and a laptop computer. It was released on 3/4/10 in the US. More than 300,000 units have been sold since. Apple has done a great marketing job in promoting this gadget. However, seriously, do I really need one?
Here are the main specs :-
- 2 models : WIFI (680g) and WIFI + 3G (730g)
- Height/Width/Thick : 24.3 cm X 19cm X 1.4cm
- Capacity : 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive
Will I use the iPad as an ebook reader to read electronic books/magazines?
I don’t think so. Spend more than AUD$600 just to read books or magazines.
Will I use this gadget to make a phone call?
I don’t think so. A phone that weighs more than 700g and as big as my man bag, no way! By the time it comes to Australia, the 3G version will cost as least AUD$800.
Will I spend more than AUD$600 on a device to send emails?
Hahaha… I don’t think so.
Will I spend more than AUD$600 for a digital photo frame? Obviously not!
So, what are the practical uses for this cool gadget called iPad?
If you are rich and want to look cool and trendy, then why not?
