Flooded office
Remember the freak storm a few days ago here in Melbourne. Not only was my rumpus room affected, my office was also flooded, big time!
Check out the following picture. It was taken by one of the shift worker on Saturday.

Amazing waterfall feature in the office.

The site facility’s manager, plumbers, engineers and cleaners are now cleaning up and checking the damage. Initial investigation suggests that there is water in the data and power points. We have just been advised not to touch them.
Spoke to one of the facility guy and he said the gutter was full of ice. Water cannot flow down the downpipes quick enough and water came back in the building.
The office stinks of dampness, plaster wall and dust.
I am not complaining as my desk is not affected. A lot of my colleagues are now working in the meeting rooms. One of them says their PCs are damaged, LCD monitors and paperwork all gone, Surprisingly, the hard drives are still working fine. He must in a frantic mode of copying and backing up.
My desktop computer is still working. Good or bad? hehehe
